Fans were abuzz yesterday after Julien Baker announced a surprise, last-minute live show in Nashville, which sold out almost instantly. Now, the stellar solo artist and boygenius member has confirmed a new set of tour dates coming to small-capacity clubs later this year.
Joined by her longtime creative collaborators Matt Gilman and Calvin Lauber, Baker will kick off the set of limited residencies on October 15 with the first of three shows in Salt Lake City. They’ll make their way to venues in Cambridge, Mass., Carrboro, N.C., Athens, Ga., and Lawrence, Kan., before closing things out with three shows in Seattle on Nov. 19, 20, and 21.
Baker performed multiple new songs during her Sept. 9 set in Nashville, making it likely that attendees of these live dates will hear fresh material alongside cuts from throughout her expansive songbook.
Tickets for all dates listed below go on sale this Saturday, Sept. 12, at 10 a.m. local time, and are available only for in-person purchase at the venue’s box office. You can find out more information about the shows by visiting Julien Baker’s official website.
