Next year, patient fans across the U.S. and Canada will get their first opportunity to see Snow Patrol live since 2019. On Monday (Sept. 24), the acclaimed band confirmed their return to North America with a set of spring headlining dates.
The tour kicks off on March 21 in Vancouver and will stop in 14 cities, including Seattle, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Boston, before concluding in Philadelphia on April 12. Snow Patrol’s long-awaited return to the road follows the release of their stirring record The Forest Is The Path. Released on Sept. 13, the band’s eighth studio album is an intimate, lyrically driven project tailor-made for the large-capacity yet cozy theaters and clubs they’re set to visit next year.
“We’re so excited to get back to tour in North America again,” lead vocalist Gary Lightbody shares in a statement. “For the first ten years of our career, we didn’t get to play in the U.S. or Canada and even though, now, we have been touring there for twenty years, we still feel like we’re making up for lost time. We grew up listening to so much music from the U.S. and Canada so we feel like it’s in our blood. We can’t wait to come back again next year and discover more of the continent and have new adventures with a brand-new album.”
Fans can access a limited artist presale will begin this week for fans by registering for the band’s mailing list. A general on-sale will follow this Friday, Sept. 27, at 10 a.m. local time.
