Indie folk outfit Big Thief will embark on their first North American tour since 2023 later this year. Announced today (May 6), the band’s Somersault Slide 360 Tour will begin September 17 in Sacramento, California, and will stop at 18 cities across the U.S. along with one performance in Mexico City, Mexico.
The first leg of their 2025 tour will come to a close on November 7 in Houston but don’t stress if they aren’t coming to a town near you just yet. According to a post on the band’s official Instagram account, the Somersault Slide 360 Tour “will continue into 2026, and these shows that have just been announced are the first of more to come.”
That promise also fuels rumors of new music coming sooner rather than later, as fans patiently await a follow-up to their 2022 album Dragon New Warm Mountain I Believe in You. Band members Adrianne Lenker, Buck Meek, and James Krivchenia have all released individual solo projects in the years since Big Thief’s last record dropped.
Tickets for all tour dates listed below will go on sale this Friday, May 9, at 10 a.m. local time. Fans can sign up now for access to an artist pre-sale, which begins at 10 a.m. local time tomorrow, May 7, by visiting Big Thief’s official website.
