Fresh from the kickoff of their first tour in 17 years, indie rock royalty Rilo Kiley checked off another notable post-reunion milestone: their long-awaited return to late-night television.
Bandmates Jenny Lewis, Blake Sennett, Jason Boesel, and Pierre de Reeder appeared on last night’s (May 8) episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! to perform “Silver Lining,” the second single from their 2007 album, Under the Blacklight.
It’s also the first track featured on That’s How We Choose to Remember It, an 11-track compilation of songs selected fromthroughout the band’s career. The greatest hits collection, released today, is a comforting slice of musical nostalgia for anyone still celebrating the group’s recent reformation. It’s also the perfect pre-game soundtrack for anyone gearing up for any of the band’s extensive list of Sometimes When You’re On, You’re Really Fucking On Tour dates (see below).
Whether you’ve already snagged concert tickets or are still waiting for payday, this solid late-night preview of the band’s new era is as enchanting as ever.
