Burgeoning duo The Band Loula has already had a landmark year, earning industry buzz and a standing ovation during their recent Grand Ole Opry debut. Now, the North Georgia natives are ready to begin a new career chapter with the upcoming release of their debut EP.
Set to arrive on August 22 via Warner Music Nashville, their Sweet Southern Summer EP features six tracks, including the previously released “Running Off the Angels” and “Can’t Please ‘Em All.” John Osborne, one half of the award-winning duo Brothers Osborne, served as producer on the project, along with additional contributions from Greg Bieck.
Comprised of longtime friends and creative collaborators Logan Simmons and Malachi Mills, The Band Loula is set to deliver one of the most intriguing alt-country EPs of the year. To coincide with their debut announcement, the talented pair also shared the nostalgic title track from The Band Loula’s upcoming project. 
“Our new song ‘Sweet Southern Summer’ is a postcard from the things that raised us in North Georgia…dirt roads, rocking chairs, honeysuckle off the vine, and growing up on Lula Road,” they shared in a statement. “It bottles up the kind of front porch summer that never really leaves you, no matter how much time passes. This track sets the tone for our upcoming EP, which is a patchwork of stories that encompass who we are.”
You can catch The Band Loula out on the road performing alongside Zach Top on Dierks Bentley’s 2025 headlining tour through the end of August.
