On April 12, 2025, music fans and vinyl collectors will wake up early for their yearly pilgrimage to local record stores. Each year, Record Store Day seems to expand its offerings, allowing the chance to purchase rare and limited edition releases from many of your favorite artists.

This year looks to be no exception, with an extensive list of special pressings from rising stars and established hitmakers that span a range of genres. To help make your Record Store Day 2025 a bit easier, we’ve selected five special releases every country fan should add to their collections.

1. Spyboy, Emmylou Harris

Travel back in time with this new collection of live recordings from legendary singer-songwriter Emmylou Harris, accompanied by her stellar backing band, Spyboy. Buddy Miller, Daryl Johnson, and Brady Blade help bring tracks from Harris’s stellar 1995 LP Wrecking Ball to life, along with beloved older cuts like “Boulder to Birmingham” and “Love Hurts.”

2. Man of Constant Sorrow, Ralph Stanley & Friends

Pressed on “Coke Bottle Clear” vinyl, this collection of trademark tracks from the late Ralph Stanley offers an array of new musical perspectives. Dierks Bentley, Elvis Costello, Gillian Welch and David Rawlings, Robert Plant, and Del McCoury are just a few of the special guests who put their own spin on these Stanley standards.

3. Stand Still Look Pretty, The Wreckers

In 2006, Michelle Branch and Jessica Harp left a lasting mark on country music with the release of their debut album, Stand Still Look Pretty. Although the LP still stands as The Wreckers‘ only full-length release, the project spawned the No. 1 hit “Leave the Pieces,” which is still winning over listeners two decades later. Stand Still Look Pretty will be available on limited edition violet vinyl for the first time, with only 3000 copies available worldwide.

4. Space Junk, Marty Stuart & His Fabulous Superlatives

This special 20-track double LP marks Marty Stuart and His Fabulous Superlatives’ first fully-instrumental album release. Limited to only 1700 copies, Space Junk features an array of previously unreleased tracks that spotlight the eclectic musical style that has helped cement Stuart as one of the genre’s all-time best.

5. Imagine That: The Lost Recordings (1954-1963), Patsy Cline

Over 60 years after her tragic death, Patsy Cline‘s musical legacy continues to endure. This new 52-track collection of previously unreleased recordings, curated by George Hewitt, spotlights the late country star’s high caliber vocal talent and irresistable charm that has continued to inspired new generations of hopeful artists.
