It’s official: John Michael Montgomery will bring his touring career to a close with one final show later this year. Announced today, the last stop of his ongoing The Road Home Tour will fittingly take the country music hitmaker back to his native state of Kentucky for what’s sure to be an emotional farewell performance.

The Road Home: The Final Concert, produced by Outback Presents, is set for December 12 at Rupp Arena in Lexington, Kentucky. Concertgoers can expect to hear many cuts from Montgomery’s extensive songbook, comprised of 11 studio albums and 7 No. 1 hits, including “Sold (The Grundy County Auction Incident),” “I Love the Way You Love Me,” “The Little Girl,” “I Love the Way You Love Me,” and “Be My Baby Tonight.”

To help mark this milestone moment in his extensive career, Montgomery will be joined by three family members and fellow musical talents: his brother Eddie Montgomery (of Montgomery Gentry), son Walker Montgomery, and son-in-law Travis Denning.

“I stepped on a tour bus for the first time in 1992 and haven’t looked back since, but now it’s time to bring it all back home for my last concert, and I can’t think of a better place than Rupp Arena,” Montgomery shares in a statement. “I wanted to celebrate this occasion with my family, so I invited some of them to perform with me. We are going to have a lot of fun and end this ride in a big way.”

Fans can get an early chance to snag tickets for The Road Home: The Final Concert via a limited artist pre-sale that begins tomorrow, July 30, at 10 a.m. EDT. You can gain access to the pre-sale via Ticketmaster by using the code “MONTGOMERY.” A general on-sale will follow this Friday, August 1, at 10 a.m. EDT. You can find more information on the show, including other pre-sale opportunities and ticketing details, by visiting John Michael Montgomery’s official website.
