Maren Morris has announced her fourth studio album, Dreamsicle. The follow-up to Morris’ 2022 album Humble Quest, the 14-track LP will be released on May 9 via Columbia Records, with its lead single, “Carry Me Through,” set to drop on March 27.

Morris also revealed the album’s cover image, which features a close-up shot of the “My Church” singer holding a drink garnished with a lemon wedge.

The Grammy Award-winner has recently teased the announcement, wiping her Instagram and sharing two black and white videos.

Morris shared the inspiration for Dreamsicle in a message to fans.

“My fourth studio album, Dreamsicle, takes place in the aftermath of loosening my grip on my personal and professional life,” the “Girl” singer wrote. “Sweeping through the pits of grief, but never staying too long, and finding the joy in knowing that at my core, I’m still who I am — and that’s pretty f*cking great.”

Though her last full-length album was released in 2022, Morris hasn’t kept fans waiting for new music. Last August, she released the EP Intermission, which included “Push Me Over,” which Morris released shortly after coming out as bisexual during Pride Month in June of 2024, writing “Happy to be the B in LGBTQ+ happy pride.”

“I didn’t ever feel before that I had the courage to say that, and it was something that I knew for decades, but I think it was just the timing of: I’m in a space to say this without anything really getting misconstrued, and it’s Pride Month,” Morris told People.

“Push Me Over” is also featured on Dreamsicle, along with the Julia Michaels collaboration “Cut!”

The Texas-born Morris released her major label debut album Hero in 2016.
