Alt-pop heavyweight Lorde is hitting the road later this year in support of her upcoming album, Virgin, due out June 27. Announced today, The Ultrasound World Tour will take the New Zealand-born hitmaker to cities across North America and Europe.
The trek begins on September 17 in Austin and will continue to Nashville, Washington D.C., Boston, Toronto, Las Vegas, and more before one final U.S. performance in Seattle on October 22. She’ll head overseas the following month, heading to venues across the U.K., Germany, Italy, France, and Sweden, among others.
Lorde’s latest set of tour dates follows the release of “What Was That,” the highly-anticipated lead single from Virgin, which marks her first full-length release in four years.
“Every show I play is a collaboration between you and me,” Lorde shared in an email sent out to fans earlier today. “We meet in a room and we make music together, our bodies and the machines in search of something bigger together. 12 years of meeting up and making sound that’s just for us. Since last time I’ve been stripping away unnecessary layers, finding us more room to move. I think that Ultrasound could be our masterpiece.”
Blood Orange, The Japanese House, Nilüfer Yana, Chanel Beads, Empress Of, Jim-E Stack, and Oklou have been tapped as support on select dates.
Tickets for all Ultrasound World Tour dates, listed below, will be available first via an artist-exclusive pre-sale that begins this Wednesday, May 14 at 10 a.m. local time. A general on-sale will follow on Friday, May 16, at 10 a.m. local time. Fans can sign up for pre-sale access and find more information on the tour by visiting Lorde’s official website.
