Two acclaimed, genre-bending bands are teaming up for a special co-headlining tour this summer. The Wood Brothers are joining forces with St. Paul & the Broken Bones for a 14-date trek set to kick off on June 11 in Dillion, Colorado.
The stretch of dates includes performances in Indianapolis, St. Louis, Reno, and Cleveland, and will conclude with a stop in Salina, Kansas, on July 17. Burgeoning singer-songwriters Cece Coakley and Yasmin Williams have been tapped as openers for select dates.
Concertgoers will be treated to new, yet-to-be-released music from St. Paul & the Broken Bones and The Wood Brothers during these newly-announced gigs. Both bands have shared messages of admiration and excitement over the opportunity to spotlight each others’ talents on the live stage.
Oliver Wood shares: “St. Paul & The Broken Bones is such a great band,” Oliver Wood, guitarist of The Wood Brothers, shared in a statement. “We’re beyond excited to do these shows together. I also have to admit, we’re thinking of ways to steal that incredible horn section.”
“We are excited to join forces with The Wood Brothers,” St. Paul and the Broken Bones’ lead vocalist Paul Janeway adds. “It will be such a pleasure to share the stage with such a talented group of folks. We can’t wait to see y’all out there.”
Tickets for all co-headlining dates, which are listed below, will go on sale this Friday, February 7, at 10 a.m. local time. You can find more information on the tour and ticketing options by visiting The Wood Brothers’ official website.
