Two-time Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Paul Simon made headlines last year with his A Quiet Celebration Tour, which marked his unexpected return to the road. Now, the 84-year-old singer-songwriter is gearing up for another long stretch of North American headlining dates this summer.
Simon, who originally stepped away from touring due to the effects of hearing loss, will travel to 18 different outdoor venues in the U.S. and Canada this June and July. It all begins on June 4 in Palo Alto, Calif., and then takes the folk-pop icon to Philadelphia, Toronto, Los Angeles, Cincinnati, Atlanta, and more. He’ll wrap up the leg of shows with two back-to-back nights in Highland Park, Ill, on July 17 and 18.
He’ll be joined for all dates by his backing band, composed of Edie Brickell (vocals), Mark Stewart (guitar), Gyan Riley (guitar), Matt Chamberlin (drums), Jamey Haddad (percussion), Bakithi Kumalo (bass), Mick Rossi (piano, keys), Andy Snitzer (saxophone), Nancy Stagnitta (flute), Caleb Burhans (viola), and Eugene Friesen (cello).
Tickets for all dates listed below will go on sale this Friday, Feb. 6, at 10 a.m. local time. You can find more information about the tour by visiting Paul Simon’s official website.
