Anderson East is back with his first new record in four years, marking the start of an intriguing new career chapter. With his lead single, “Say I Love You,” the genre-meshing musician, lyricist, and producer channels the exhilaration and uncertainty of a passionate romance.
“Let me hear you say I love you,” East passionately pleads. “Say it now so all the world feels right / If all of our tomorrow’s ended / I wanna hear you say it one more time.”
“Say I Love You” is the lead single off East’s upcoming sixth album and first LP since inking a deal with Rounder Records. Set for release on May 30, Worthy delivers 10 new tracks co-produced by East and longtime creative cohort Dave Cobb.
In contrast to his impressive 2021 record, Maybe We Never Die, which was creative in the depths of COVID-19 lockdown, Worthy grew out of close collaboration with longtime friends. Natalie Hemby, Lori McKenna, Ashley Monroe, Trent Dabbs, and Aaron Raitiere are among the celebrated songwriters who helped craft East’s newest batch of bold, captivating tracks.

Although Worthy promises to spotlight East’s musical evolution and growth, the unfiltered emotion and retro Muscle Shoals-rooted groove at the heart of tracks like “Say I Love You” manage to feel both fresh and familiar.
Additional information about the record and 2025 tour dates are expected to be shared in the weeks to come. A limited amount of limited edition vinyl pressings and merch bundles are available for pre-order via Anderson East’s official website.
