Dierks Bentley Details New Album ‘Broken Branches’

Country star Dierks Bentley is set to share his eleventh studio album with fans this summer. Announced today (April 15) the 11-track LP Broken Branches will arrive on June 13 via Capitol Records Nashville.

The collection of songs was hand-selected during a months-long process by Bentley, who thoughtfully narrowed down a trove of tracks penned by some of Nashville’s most accomplished songwriters. With the help of executive producer Mary Hilliard Harrington, he worked to craft an album that spotlights and celebrates life’s “broken branches,” or those who aren’t afraid to forge their own path.

“The country music community has a lot of broken branches in it. That’s why we’re all here,” Bentley shares in a statement. “We want to do something a little bit different, and I think everyone sees themselves like that – certainly in country. This is the people’s music and it represents that spirit of individuality so well – it’s just about doing it our own way.”

Devin Dawson, Luke Dick, Ashley Gorley, Ross Copperman, and Jon Randall are just a few of the award-winning writers credited on Broken Branches, along with four co-writes from Bentley himself. Miranda Lambert also appears as a special guest on “Near You,” which serves as another example of the spirit of collaboration rooted in the record’s core.

“I think that’s what’s special about country – we’re still making music in the studio with our buddies,” adds Bentley. “We’re still getting together and talking about the songs and letting the musicians have a big say. It’s a good team – maybe a little messed up – but that’s the whole idea behind broken branches, so it just works.”

Next month, Bentley will kick off his 2025 Broken Branches Tour in support of his upcoming record. The 30-city trek, which features support from Zach Top and The Band Loula, will kick off at the Moody Center in Austin on May 29.
