Alt-folk outfit The Paper Kites are gearing up for a landmark year, anchored by the planned release of their seventh record, If You Go There, I Hope You Find It. Following their album’s release on Jan. 23 via Nettwerk Music Group, the Australian-based band will embark on a month-long headlining tour.
The slate of shows includes cities across the U.S. and Canada, beginning with a performance at Emo’s in Austin on May 1. The talented five-piece will take the stage in New York City, Toronto, Boston, Washington, D.C., Portland, Chicago, Denver, and more before one final show in Los Angeles on May 26.
Attendees can expect to hear plenty of cuts from throughout The Paper Kites’ extensive career songbook, including tracks off If You Go There, I Hope You Find It. That includes their most recent single, the sonically sparkling yet somewhat melancholy “Every Town,” which is an intriguing preview of what to expect from the band’s seventh full-length project.
Multiple pre-sale opportunities for the shows listed below will open to ticketbuyers tomorrow, Oct. 1, ahead of a general on-sale set for Friday, Oct. 3. You can find more information about the tour and ticketing details by visiting The Paper Kites’ official website.
