Longtime hitmakers and breakout stars will come together for the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards on Wednesday night (Sept 11). Held at the UBS Arena in Elmont, N.Y., the always unpredictable ceremony celebrates the year’s most notable musical releases from across genres.
Pop star Taylor Swift continued her recordbreaking year by earning 10 nominations, more than any other artist this year. Other top nominees include Swift’s “Fortnight” collaborator Post Malone, Sabrina Carpenter, and Ariana Grande. This year’s roster of honorees also includes 29 first-time nominees, including Chappell Roan, Tyler Childers, and Laufey.
The fan-voted awards will be handed out during the primetime event, which will be broadcast live on MTV on Sept. 11 beginning at 8 p.m. ET. Five-time nominee Megan Thee Stallion will serve as host. A complete list of nominees and winners, which will be updated in real time, can be found below.
