Kentucky-born singer-songwriter Leah Blevins is set to release All Dressed Up, produced by The Black Keys’ Dan Auerbach, on March 20, 2026, via Easy Eye Sound. Today (Nov. 13), the captivating musician and vocalist has shared the record’s gut-punching title track, a honky-tonk heartbreaker that captures the raw, powerful magic of old school country jukebox ballads.
“There are all kinds of emotions in this world, and the best songs are a tangle of sometimes opposite feelings,” reflects Blevins. “‘All Dressed Up’ is that hopeful, wonderful feeling of being completely in love – and how wrecking it can be when you realize how far from that reality you are.
“When you realize you’re a fool, well, that’s what the chorus is all about,” she adds.
“I got all dressed up to be let down / When you drag my heart on the muddy ground,” Blevins declares in the song’s chorus. “I was riding high / Everybody knows / When you crash and burn / That’s the way it goes / That’s the way it goes.”
Blevins hails from Sandy Hook, Kentucky, the same hometown of late, great country artist Keith Whitley. Naturally, she grew up surrounded by the sounds of classic country music and bluegrass, including fellow Kentucky natives Patty Loveless and Dwight Yoakam. The region’s unique batch of talented artists and musical soundscapes left a lasting mark on Blevins, shaping her approach to songwriting.
“I write what I feel, what I think other people feel, too,” Blevins says. “Dan [Auerbach] is someone who gets [that] there’s more to a song than what’s on the surface. He’s not afraid to leave room on the tracks for the emotions to spread out and really color the recording. As a co-writer and producer, he creates something that is almost beyond honest, which I love.”
