Rising artist RYMAN channels the magic of a blossoming romance with his latest single, “Kiss My Face.” The track, released on Oct. 10 via Mom+Pop Music, serves as an enchanting introduction to the 21-year-old singer-songwriter’s custom blend of pop, indie-folk, and rock.
“Kiss My Face” is RYMAN’s second single since inking a deal with Mom+Pop, and follows stints earlier this year opening for Role Model and Ben Kweller. Through clever, imagery-driven lyrics and warm, heartfelt vocals, he paints a picture of a special chapter from the early moments of a relationship.
“‘Kiss My Face’ tells the story of falling in love with my girlfriend and the first time we kissed — that euphoric, weightless moment when everything shifted,” explains RYMAN. “It’s one of the most defining parts of our story, and I wanted to capture that feeling forever in this song.”
“A December to remember / We erased that stain of the pressure that was building through the winter / Couldn’t fight that the change in the weather,” he proclaims in the track’s euphoric chorus. “Everything that I dreamed / Fallin’ into place / Say my name / We lift that weight / Kiss my face.”
“Kiss My Face” also gives lyrical nods to Nashville’s 8th Avenue and music venue The Basement East, and was fittingly recorded in the so-called “Music City,” which is also RYMAN’s hometown.
“I loved being able to bring this song to life in the studio with my friends and producers of the track, Hunter West, Jamie McLaughlin, and Rudey,” he shares.
RYMAN will hit the road next month as support for Mon Rovîa on select U.S. dates, which are listed below. You can find more information about the shows by visiting his official website.
