Last month, aging hipsters across the world rejoiced at the news that beloved indie outfit Rilo Kiley had officially reunited. Now, the group is giving dedicated fans even more to be thankful for.

Today (February 25), bandmates Jenny Lewis, Blake Sennett, Pierre de Reeder, and Jason Boesel revealed their new greatest hits compilation, That’s How We Choose To Remember It, is set for release on May 9 via Saddle Creek.

The album features a mixture of familiar fan favorites like “Portions for Foxes” and “Silver Lining,” along with deeper cuts like “The Frug.” Longtime listeners and newly-introduced “indie sleaze” purveyors alike are sure to snap up the band’s upcoming LP, thanks to an increasing market for joyful nostalgia.

“For some people, Rilo Kiley evokes a formative, emotional time in life, when you were maybe grasping for your place in the universe. We were too,” Sennett shares in a statement.

To coincide with their greatest hits unveiling, Rilo Kiley has also expanded their upcoming reunion tour due to popular demand. Along with their previously confirmed headlining dates in May, the band has added 11 new stops, including shows in Philadelphia, Washington D.C., Raleigh, Atlanta, and Nashville.

“Planning this reunion over these past months has been like reconnecting with family. We haven’t missed a beat,” explains Pierre de Reeder. “The stakes are only to have a good time, to revel in this nostalgia. Getting to revisit and celebrate the music from that special time of our lives while experiencing it alongside a lot of people that lived it with us back when, and new folks alike.”

“It couldn’t have happened any sooner,” Jenny Lewis adds. “It feels like now is the time to share that joy and love with each other and with everyone else.”

A list of all upcoming tour stops can be found below, with newly added dates in bold. Tickets for these additional live shows will go on sale this Friday, February 28, at 10 a.m. local time. Fans can find more information on the tour and ticketing options by visiting Rilo Kiley’s official website.
