Singer-songwriter and producer Zayn has set his first headlining tour as a solo artist. Announced on Wednesday (Sept. 18), his Stairway to the Sky Tour will visit select cities in the U.S. and U.K. later this year.
The trek will begin on Oct. 23 with a performance in San Francisco, and will continue on to Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and Washington D.C. through early November. After a brief break, Zayn will head to the U.K. for a six-date stretch, ending with a stop in Newcastle on Dec. 3.
These dates act as an important career milestone for the 31-year-old talent, marking his first tour as a solo artist. He first shot to stardom as a member of the hit boy band One Direction, but opted to part ways with the group over creative differences in 2015. In the years since, he and former bandmates Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Liam Payne, and Louis Tomlinson, have all focused on building new lives for themselves both personally and creatively.
Over a six-year period, Zayn build a quiet life in rural Pennsylvania, where he focused on creating a collection of music that represented who he had become. The result is his latest album Room Under the Stairs, which arrived on May 17 and offers an intimate look at his life and personal evolution.
Concertgoers can expect to hear plenty of cuts from Room Under the Stairs, along with “fan favorites never-before performed live,” according to a press release. Tickets for all Stairway to the Sky Tour dates, which are listed below, will go on sale this Saturday, Sept. 21 at 11 a.m. local time. Fans can find more information about ticketing options, including pre-sale opportunities, by visiting Zayn’s official website.
