Multi-talented artist Maya Hawke has a brand new record ready to share. Today (March 2), the accomplished actress and singer-songwriter announced she’s set to release her fourth studio album, Maitreya Corso, on May 1 via Mom + Pop.
The project is her second record crafted in collaboration with husband and fellow talented songsmith Christian Lee Hutson, following her captivating 2024 record Chaos Angel. Maitreya Corso was recorded in Woodstock, N.Y. during the tail end of 2025, and features contributions from guitarist Will Graefe, violinist Odessa Jorgensen, and drummer Michael Riddleberger.
The 13-track LP was primarily co-produced by Hutson and Jonathan Low, with additional production work from Benjamin Lazar Davis. Listeners will be introduced to the lead character of “Maitreya Corso,” a persona hand-crafted by Hawke which she describes as a “magical misfit, whose sheer inability to adapt to the surrounding world allows her to create a world of her own, and to explore the positive and negative power of the ego.”

ALBUM OUT MAY 1 VIA MOM+POP
Released today, the album’s lead single, “Devil You Know,” begins with sparse accompaniment that slowly builds into a rich soundscape, propelled by Hawke’s rapid-fire lyrical confessions.
“Deal with the devil you know, take it slow / He might show up, you might lose him,” Hawke offers in the song’s airy chorus. “When you grow up, you might blow up, you might pop / None of that’s a good reason to stop.”
The track was penned during time spent at Davis’s Los Angeles studio and in New York City while Hawke helped mold what would become Hutson’s stellar 2024 record Paradise Pop. 10.
“‘Devil You Know’ is about trying to keep ambition and greed out of the creative process,” Hawke shares. “This album generally is about learning to protect the precious from the poisonous. Protect creation from pride. Protect love from control. Protect collaboration from jealousy.”
If you’re anxious to hear “Devil You Know” and more cuts from Maitreya Corso live, you’re in luck. Hawke has also confirmed her first headlining tour in three years, which will take her to over a dozen venues in the U.S. later this spring.
