A new box set will help fans fill in the blanks within Bruce Springsteen‘s extensive songbook. Set for release on June 27 via Sony Music, Tracks II: The Lost Albums features 83 previously unheard songs created across 35 years.

The collection of tracks includes 7 unreleased full-length records, which Springsteen workshopped and recorded inside his house between 1983 and 2018. Listeners will get to travel back in time and hear the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member experiment in a range of genres and styles.

“The ability to record at home whenever I wanted allowed me to go into a wide variety of different musical directions,” Springsteen shares.

Tracks II: The Lost Albums will be released as a limited edition nine-disc LP, with unique packaging for each unreleased record, along with a 100-page companion book that includes an introduction penned by Springsteen, rare photographs, and album liner notes by Erik Flannigan. The complete collection will also be available on CD and digital formats, along with a condensed, 20-track version titled Lost And Found: Selections from The Lost Albums, which will arrive on CD and vinyl the same day.

“‘The Lost Albums’ were full records, some of them even to the point of being mixed and not released,” says Springsteen. “I’ve played this music to myself and often close friends for years now. I’m glad you’ll get a chance to finally hear them. I hope you enjoy them.”

If you’re already counting down the days until Tracks II finally arrives, Springsteen also delivered something to help tide you over until June 27. “Rain in the River,” a cut from the soon-to-be-released LP Perfect World, offers an intriguing preview of what hidden musical gems are yet to be uncovered.
