Acclaimed singer-songwriter Ashley Monroe will mark the 10th anniversary of her third studio album, The Blade, with a unique one-night-only performance in Nashville. The concert, set for July 25 at The Basement East, will give fans the rare opportunity to hear the album played in its entirety.
Produced by Justin Niebank and Vince Gill, who Monroe cites as a huge creative influence, The Blade earned widespread praise from fans and critics for its sparse, neo-traditional soundscape and raw, gut-punching lyrics. Following its release, the 12-track LP earned a nomination for Best Country Album at the 58th Grammy Awards.
One decade later, the 38-year-old talent is excited to mark this special career milestone on the live stage.
“I can’t believe it’s been 10 years since I recorded and released The Blade with one of my heroes, Vince Gill,” Monroe shares in a statement. “I always come back to singing these songs and can’t wait to sing the record again, top to bottom.”
If you want to be in attendance to hear The Blade in its entirety live in Nashville, tickets for the show will go on sale this Friday, April 4, at 9 a.m. CT. Fans can find more information on the concert and ticketing options by visiting Ashley Monroe’s official website.
