Singer-songwriter Brent Cobb and his band the Fixin’s are gearing up for an extensive headlining tour this summer and fall. Set to kick off on July 10 in Oklahoma City, the Ain’t Rocked in a While Tour will take Cobb and co. to cities in the U.S. and Canada through the end of November.
The stretch of dates is in support of Cobb and The Fixin’s upcoming record, Ain’t Rocked in a While, which is set for release July 11 via Ol’ Buddy Records/Thirty Tigers. The project aims to capture the blazing energy that radiates from the stage during Cobb’s live shows, melding familiar country elements with the electrifying, riff-heavy classic rock sound that influenced him in his early days.
“I feel like sometimes when people come to our shows, there might be a disconnect,” Cobb shares in a statement. “People might view me as just a singer-songwriter. You know, sit down and tell ’em a nice, little Southern story. Sing ’em a song. And our live show kinda rocks. Sometimes people are taken aback. I want people to have an album of reference.”
Cobb, guitarist Matt McDaniel, bassist Josh Williams, and drummer Len Clark will take their new collection of rollicking tracks to stages in Chicago, Pittsburgh, Portland, Toronto, Los Angeles, and more cities before wrapping up with a performance in Great Falls, Montana, on November 23.
