Johnny Blue Skies, the alter ego of singer-songwriter Sturgill Simpson, will be joined by his band, the Dark Clouds, for an extensive headlining trek later this year. Set to begin on Sept 4 in Austin, the act’s Mutiny for the Masses Tour, named after their buzzed-about new album, will visit 29 cities across the U.S. and Canada.
The stretch of North American shows also includes stops in Brooklyn, Seattle, Washington, D.C., Vancouver, Philadelphia, New Orleans, Boston, and Nashville. Simpson and his bandmates will close out the tour with a performance at Rupp Arena in Lexington, Kentucky, on Oct. 30.
Concertgoers will be treated to live renditions of cuts from their record Mutiny After Midnight, released on March 13 exclusively on CD, vinyl, and cassette formats.
