Accomplished indie rock outfit Young the Giant has revealed a new slate of live shows offering fans a fresh and unique live experience. Announced today (June 2), the band’s In the Open Tour will head to 11 cities across the U.S. this fall.
Described as “an intimate concert experience performed in beautiful spaces,” the tour has been thoughtfully curated, bringing listeners to scenic locations and venues for acoustic, reimagined renditions of tracks from their over 20-year-long career.
“‘In the Open’ has been our superpower as a band since we started playing music together,” the band shares in a statement. “There’s something so thrilling about reimagining our music in a way that’s more improvised, less controlled, and in a place you wouldn’t expect. We’re hoping to bring this feeling to you in our new tour Young the Giant: In the Open. While we can’t play a full set for you under a bridge or on a cliffside, we hope these beautiful intimate venues will give you the same feeling.”
Burgeoning singer-songwriter Cassandra Coleman, whose Jack Antonoff-produced debut record arrives on June 6 via Warner, will act as support on all dates listed below.
An artist-exclusive presale will begin tomorrow, June 3, at 10 a.m. local time, ahead of a general on-sale this Friday, June 6, also at 10 a.m. local time. Additional information on the shows, including additional pre-sale opportunities, is available by visiting Young the Giant’s official website.
