Following the success of their acclaimed comeback album A Cat in the Rain, country group Turnpike Troubadours are ready to share a new record—and fans won’t have to wait long to hear it.
Today (April 7), the Oklahoma-born group confirmed their seventh studio album, The Price of Admission, will be released to digital platforms this Friday, April 11, via Bossier City Records/Thirty Tigers. Over the weekend, rumors about the now-confirmed LP flooded social media after fans spotted a billboard advertising the surprise record.
Although there are still few details known about the project, the group has confirmed that Shooter Jennings, who served as producer on A Cat in the Rain, reprised his creative role for their upcoming 11-track record. It’s still unclear if The Price of Admission will be available in CD or vinyl format, so fans will have to enjoy the collection of songs via streaming platforms on release day.
The announcement also comes ahead of “The Boys From Oklahoma,” a sold out, four-night homecoming residency with Cross Canadian Ragweed at Boone Pickens Stadium in Stillwater, Oklahoma, set for April 10-13. Band members Evan Felker, Ryan Engleman, RC Edwards, Kyle Nix, Gabe Pearson, and Hank Early will spend the majority of the year on the road in support of their new music, joining Willie Nelson on his 10th annual Outlaw Music Festival Tour, performing overseas gigs with Zach Bryan, and taking the stage at festivals and solo headlining shows across the U.S. through October.
