One of modern country music’s most important voices and talented songwriters has a new record on the way, and it’s coming sooner than you might expect. Tyler Childers‘ seventh studio album, Snipe Hunter, is set to drop next Wednesday, July 25, via Hickman Holler Records/RCA Records.
Details about the project are scarce, but he has confirmed that Rick Rubin was tapped as producer for the LP, with additional work by Nick Sanborn of electropop act Sylvan Esso. Childers’ move to recruit Rubin, one of music’s most accomplished and award-winning producers, makes the Kentucky native’s upcoming LP his first non-self-produced record since 2019’s Country Squire.
Childers has also released the long-awaited studio version of, “Nose on the Grindstone,” which has been a favorite among longtime fans and a regular inclusion on his live setlists for years.

Additional details about the album are expected to be released in the coming days. Childers will spend much of late summer and early fall on the road in support of Snipe Hunter, including two back-to-back nights at GEODIS Park in Nashville. You can find a complete list of upcoming tour dates below. Information about the performances, including ticketing options, can be found by visiting Tyler Childers’ official website.
